Winter programs for U14 paddlers run from November to April. Winter training is a key component of becoming a canoe/kayak athlete. Sessions include:
The goals are to improve strength, fitness, technique, and efficient training habits that will set athletes up for future success and to work with the coaches to meet their personal goals.
- Body weights and gym workouts to build strength
- Paddling machine (erg) & pool paddling for technical work and fitness
- Running, swimming & cross country skiing for fitness
