  • RCC STAFF & VOLUNTEERS - SAFE SPORT & RAMP
  •

SafeSport is an initiative focused on protecting athletes from all forms of abuse in sports, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. It aims to create a safe environment for athletes of all ages and skill levels by providing education, resources, and policies to prevent misconduct and promote athlete well-being. SafeSport offers training programs for coaches, volunteers, and athletes themselves to recognize, prevent, and report abuse, fostering a culture of respect and safety within the sporting community.

The Rideau Canoe Club is dedicated to safeguarding the health and welfare of its organization, members, and participants. Any instance of misconduct is treated with seriousness by RCC. Rideau Canoe Club is firmly devoted to establishing and upholding transparent and uniform policies and procedures to address misconduct effectively.
Safe Sport Levels:
Volunteers are required to attain specific Safe Sport levels — Level 1, 2, or 3.
RAMP:
To streamline the registration process, we use RAMP, a user-friendly platform accessible via http://RideauCanoeClub.rampregistrations.com. For a visual representation on how to use RAMP, please see below.

Annual Registration:
Whether you're a returning or new volunteer, registration through RAMP is mandatory every year. This ensures we maintain up-to-date records and uphold the highest standards of safety. However, your Safe Sport training and Police Record Check remain valid for three years, ensuring ongoing compliance and peace of mind for all involved.
STEP 1: Create an account, or if you are a returning volunteer, you can log in.
