RCC Merchandise - Limited Sale before the Holidays!
The Rideau Canoe Club is holding a limited merchandise sale over the next week. This has been organized by the Fundraising Committee, and it is a limited sale that will only be open for orders from November 18th-25th only.
RCC is working with the supplier to Canoe Kayak Canada and have hoodies, toques, hats and T-shirts available for paddlers and parents of all ages and sizes. All of the apparel will be of high quality, as the club wants to offer cool stuff you'll look good in and want to wear!
The items will be available through a dedicated and secure Shopify site to make it easy and safe to order.
A couple of important notes:
- The Winter/Holiday Merchandise Sale will only be available until November 25th. This will ensure all orders are processed in time for the Christmas/Holiday season. If you are interested, please place your order as soon as possible.
- In order to ensure pre-Holiday delivery, and to keep costs down, all orders will arrive at the Rideau Canoe Club. We will have two nights/days between December 15-20 when all orders can be picked up at the Club. We will have a few of our athletes help with this distribution.
- If this merchandise sale goes well, we will likely do another sale in spring and summer. However, we will likely offer different clothing and designs i.e. shorts, paddling gear, etc. If you see something you like, there is no guarantee it will be available in a future sale. We would encourage you to order now.
- While we do not make a ton of money on merchandise sales, do know that all proceeds from the sale will go to the Club's fundraising efforts.
Thank you for your support! We hope you can find some nice gifts for you and maybe some special people in your cheering section at the regattas, Dragon Boat Races, and for little ones enjoying the club at their Canoe Kids Camp!
Donate for the Dock Campaign - Update
As many are aware, the Rideau Canoe Club has launched a fundraising campaign to pay for a series of new docks.
These new docks will increase our capacity to load and unload paddlers safely, provide additional space for expected 2021 summer covid protocols, and ensure our para and paddle all programs athletes have an accessible dock.
The total project will cost about $100,000. The City of Ottawa will be matching all donations, meaning we have a fundraising goal of $50,000. Working the Sport 4 Ontario Foundation, we are able to offer tax receipts for all donors.
To date, we have received tremendous support from current members and families, the Dragon Boat community, and Rideau Alumni, and are at about 67% of our goal! Thank you to everyone who has donated to date. The response has been remarkable.
However, the last bit is always the toughest to raise. If you have been considering a donation, we need your support.
We need to raise another $15,000 to reach our goal. That’s 300 $50 donations, 150 $100 donations, or 30 $500 donations. We understand these are challenging times for everyone. Every donation truly makes a difference.
Here's where you can donate. Thank you again.
