Volunteers
As we have said all along, the volunteers are essential to the success of our canoe club. This year's Board of Directors has been hard at work, and we will need your help to get set up for the season. Many volunteer positions provide an excellent vantage point on regatta days, and others involve time outside of regatta days so you are free to watch and cheer from the shores while you or your favourite athletes are racing! If you are new to the canoe club, there are always lots of people happy to guide you through the volunteering experience. It's an amazing way to meet other members, have lots of laughs, and to learn about the sport. Here are some of the volunteering positions that we need to fill now, in order to be ready for the regatta season:
• Kitchen Coordinator
• House Committee
• Website support
• Photographer
If you are interested in finding out more about any of these positions, or in signing up as volunteer, please contact secretary@rideaucanoeclub.ca. We also have a volunteer sign-up on our website's Volunteers page.
