Program Updates - June 2021
We are pleased to send today's newsletter with some positive updates. Based on recent local and provincial progress in vaccinations and subsequent provincial opening stages, we are making more plans for the canoe club's programs to be back up and running.
Here are some key points:
Sprint and Recreation coaches will send emails to participants with your schedules.
The sign up sheet will still be available for club members to schedule boat launching times, and starting June 14 the club opening hours will be as follows:
All members must continue to complete the RCC Screening Form before coming to the canoe club each day.
Please wear a mask at all times around the club until you are on the water.
A reminder too that all paddlers must sign the RCC Waiver before coming down to paddle for the first time. This only needs to be done once for the season.
Once programs start running, club boats (singles only) will only be available for use by members if they are not already being used by a program. Cleaning protocols will be in place between uses. When you sign up on the sign up sheet, please indicate which boat you plan to use to help everyone know the boat availability.
Clubhouse and facilities
The indoor changeroom and facilities remain closed at this time. The outdoor washrooms are available for use and will be cleaned regularly.
We are sorry not to have a happier update for the dragon boat paddlers at this time. Current restrictions prevent us from being able to run programs in July.
Please stay tuned for more updates in our newsletter.
We are planning to send out regular updates as more programs and events can open up over the coming weeks and the summer. If this was forwarded to you by a friend or family member, and you would like to receive our newsletter in your inbox, please sign up here.
