THE RIDEAU CANOE CLUB
The Rideau Canoe Club is a non-profit organization serving the community as a sprint canoe kayak club. We are proud to wear the PURPLE AND WHITE when competing at local, divisional, provincial, national and international regattas. Our club is one of the top Sprint Canoe Kayak clubs in Canada having won the overall title at the Canadian Championships 9 times, most recently in 2015, 2018 and 2019. The club offers many services and programs all of which centre around paddling. Whether you want to learn to paddle, paddle for fun or fitness, or train to compete, the club has a program for you.

Ottawa Sport Council - True Sport Community Grant We are honoured to be one of the two recipients of the Ottawa Sport Council True Sport Community Grant for 2020, in support of the Rideau Canoe Club's Para and Special Olympics/Paddle All programs.

Planning is underway for the 2021 spring and summer sprint, camp and recreation programs. Stay tuned on our website and watch for more news and information about registrations in our February newsletter.
It’s hard to say goodbye…
Hector Carranco will finish his final weeks as Executive Director of the Rideau Canoe Club later this month. It is likely impossible to express all that he has contributed and accomplished in this role over the last decade. His energy, dedication, and pride in the club and all those around it shone through with each regatta, camp day, social event, racecourse set-up, presentation and conversation he participated in. Thank you, Hector!

2021 Sprint Nationals
The Rideau Canoe Club is proud to be the host site of the 2021 Canoe Kayak Canada Sprint National Championships. The event will take place on Mooney's Bay from August 24 - 29, 2021 followed by the Canadian Masters Sprint National Championships on August 30.

As a community and volunteer supported non-profit organization, fundraising is an important club activity. Fundraising supports the club's operations and infrastructure projects.
The Rideau Canoe Club advocates for an active lifestyle of the people of Ottawa and is a successful sprint paddling club at the local, national, international and Olympic levels.
