THE RIDEAU CANOE CLUB
The Rideau Canoe Club is a non-profit organization serving the community as a sprint canoe kayak club. We are proud to wear the PURPLE AND WHITE when competing at local, divisional, provincial, national and international regattas. Our club is one of the top Sprint Canoe Kayak clubs in Canada having won the overall title at the Canadian Championships 10 times, most recently in 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022. The club offers many services and programs all of which centre around paddling. Whether you want to learn to paddle, paddle for fun or fitness, or train to compete, the club has a program for you.

RIDEAU CANOE CLUB LAUNCHES 2023 COMMUNITY DRAGON BOAT PROGRAM WITH OTF GRANT SUPPORT
Ottawa, ON – On Thursday, the team at the Rideau Canoe Club (RCC) met to launch a new season for the Community Dragon Boat Program. At the launch, the team celebrated the $85,000 Resilient Communities Fund grant they received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) which allowed RCC to to bring back a popular community event, the Dragon Boat, which had been suspended following the COVID-19 pandemic. SPRING & SUMMER PROGRAMS - Come Paddle with us in 2023!
The club is getting ready for a great paddling season in 2023. Registration for Recreational Paddling (Intros, Fitness & Seniors Paddling) will open to the public on Friday, March 17 at 10 am. Sprint (U16 & U18/HP) and Masters will open to the public on Friday, March 31 at 10 am. Program Coordinators of the respective programs will be in touch with past participants for Early-Bird registration details.
