DRAGON BOAT
Don't miss the latest RCC DB program news and updates by subscribing to the RCC Newsletter.
Dragon boat paddling at the Rideau Canoe Club begins in May and runs through October depending on weather and water conditions. Teams are made up of 22 individuals (including a drummer and a steersperson) and can be competitive or recreational, mixed, male or female. Some imaginative teams book practices for parties and office functions and companies often book sessions as team building exercises - it really is a novel and fun activity!
To become a dragon boat paddler, you don't need to be a top-notch athlete - you simply need the drive and commitment to get out and enjoy yourself. The goal of our program is to promote fun, fitness and friendship.
