Public health resources and COVID-19 information are available here: RCC COVID-19 Vaccination Policy - September 2021
The Ontario Ministry of Health has issued a Guidance Document indicating that effective September 22, 2021, patrons seeking access to indoor areas of facilities used for sports and recreational fitness activities, including gyms, pools, sporting events and personal fitness training must show proof of identification and proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before they can enter the area, with limited exceptions. The Rideau Canoe Club falls within this guidance document, and members of the Board of Directors have completed a comprehensive review of relevant policies across comparable sports organizations and to incorporate the latest information available to us right now. An initial COVID-19 Vaccination Policy is outlined in the link below. RCC COVID-19 Safety Plan 2021
One year into the COVID-19 pandemic, and after successfully continuing to run programs throughout the year, the RCC is moving into the second COVID on-water season more prepared and with a unified response based on the Ontario COVID-19 Response Framework. This document sets out what actions all participants, parents/guardians, volunteers and staff must take to help keep everyone healthy. Safety is the primary priority for any activity that is run at the RCC, whether on or off the water. Additional RCC COVID-19 Policies and Protocols
