Head Coach
Mihail
The Rideau Canoe Club (RCC) Head Coach position is one that provides leadership to the Sprint programs, Recreation Programs and Satellite Programs. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Head Coach also works closely with the RCC Club Manager and Administrator, and the U18/High Performance Lead to ensure the efficient delivery of all programs and services at the Rideau Canoe Club. About Mihail: Canoe-kayak isn’t just my profession - it’s my passion, my lifestyle, and my playground. With over 12 years of coaching experience at the club, national and international levels, I thrive on transforming athletes into powerful, confident competitors. My journey started in the boat, pushing my own limits, but I found my true calling in helping others unlock their potential. From Canada to Mexico, I’ve worked with clubs and high-performance programs, fine-tuning technique, building mental resilience, and creating a team culture that fuels both excellence and enjoyment. I believe that pushing boundaries and loving the process are equally important in achieving success. Beyond coaching, I love the adrenaline of competition, the camaraderie of regattas, and the energy of a team working toward greatness. When I’m not on the water, you’ll find me playing soccer, cross-country skiing, or pushing my limits at the gym. Education & Certifications
