U16 SPRINT PROGRAMS
The U16 program at Rideau Canoe Club is an intensive and competitive platform tailored for young athletes who are dedicated to advancing their skills and achievements in canoeing and kayaking. Participants in the U16 program commit to a demanding training schedule aimed at refining their technique, enhancing physical conditioning, and preparing for competitive events.
The schedule changes weekly depending on the load of the training cycle, the competition schedule, and the coaching assessment of athlete needs. Each week the schedule is communicated via email from the U16 Coordinator to parents and athletes. The information below is intended for planning purposes only to get a general idea of what the U16 schedule will entail.
