Dragon boat paddling at the Rideau Canoe Club begins in May and runs through October. Teams are made up of 22 individuals (including a drummer and a steersperson) and can be competitive or recreational, mixed, male or female. Some imaginative teams book practices for parties and office functions and companies often book sessions as team building exercises - it really is a novel and fun activity!
To become a dragon boat paddler, you don't need to be a top-notch athlete - you simply need the drive and commitment to get out and enjoy yourself. The goal of our program is to promote fun, fitness and friendship. Dragon Boat Program Coordinator - dragonboat@rideaucanoeclub.ca |
