Bantam Spring Program

Hey Guys! 

I hope your March Break is going well!! I'm not sure what Wade, Ian and Diana have communicated to you, but if you are getting this email it is because you have been training with the midget group all winter, but are not going to Florida. Some of you are going to be bantams again because of the rule change, while some of you are going to be midgets again. I will be taking over coaching while the other coaches are away, and those of you who are bantams will stay with my group in preparation for the summer!

I am excited for you to join our training group! We have brought training to a new level this winter and I'm sure you will find it both fun and challenging. 

We have practice from 6-8 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8-10 am on Saturdays, and there will continue to be swimming on Sunday evenings from 7-8:30 pm. 

On Mondays we do cardio circuits in the gym, focusing on being speed and endurance. Hopefully with daylight savings making it brighter we will be able to go outside soon!
On Wednesdays we do weights for strength and balanced muscle groups. 
On Fridays we do balance and coordination work, followed by paddling machine. 
Saturdays are cardio/strength again, and Sunday swims are cardio and technique (same as usual). 

The March break is off, but we start up again on Saturday, March 16th. 

Lana and I will be sharing the coaching, and Catrin is going to volunteer so that we can provide more coaching to our greater group size. 

When people get back from Florida, we will re-evaluate the groups to determine when we will get on the water (depends on weather, coaches available, group size, etc).
