Juvenile-Junior-Senior Training


  • 6 – 12 coached sessions per week; must have coaches approval to register
  • Weekday mornings and afternoons (# of sessions will be based on objectives of the specific training cycle and communicated to the athletes)
  • Saturday morning
  • Sunday evening 7 – 8:30pm @ Carleton University
  • Consists of an annual training plan with periodized weekly programs to help HP athletes prepare for the Spring/Summer 2012 paddling season
  • Sessions will include: weight training, circuit training, paddle machine, skiing, running, swimming 
  • Cost: $550 + HST($71.50) = $621.50

 

Midget Training

  • 5 – 8 coached sessions per week; must have coaches approval to register 
  • Weekday afternoons, Saturday morning and Sunday evening swim 
  • Annual training plan with periodized weekly programs to help Development athletes (those making the transition from Bantam/Novice to HP training) prepare for the Spring/Summer 2012 paddling season
  • Sessions will include: bodyweight training, circuit training, paddle machine, skiing, running, swimming 
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons: 4:00 – 6:00
  • Saturday 8-10AM & 3-5PM 
  • Sunday evening 7 – 8:30pm @ Carleton University
  • Cost: $400 + HST($52.00) = $452.00

 

BANTAM Training

  • 4 – 6 coached sessions per week 
  • For Bantam athletes to continue their development and help prepare for the Spring/Summer 2012 paddling season
  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons: 4:00 – 6:00
  • Saturday 9:00AM starting in March
  • Sunday evening swim 7:00 – 8:30
  • Cost: $300 + HST($39.00) = $339.00


Peewee Training

  • 1 – 2 coached sessions per week 
  • For Peewee athletes wanting to continue with friends and pees to stay in contact with the team and prepare for the Spring/Summer 2012 paddling season
  • November to April:  Sunday evening swim 7 – 8:30pm @ Carleton University
  • Starting in March: paddling ergometer and fitness session Wednesday at 4PM
  • Cost: $100 + HST($13.00) = $113.00

Masters Training

  • 2 coached session per week
  • For Masters wanting to work on strength specific to paddling and to prepare for the 2012 Spring/summer paddling season
  • Three session options:
  • Mon/Wed evening 6:30 – 8:00 pm
  • Tue/Thu mornings 5:45 – 7:15 am
  • Tue/Thu evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm
  • Cost $250 + HST($32.50) = $282.50
  • Must have 8 registered for program to run

 

Masters Ergometer Session

  • Back by popular demand and an extra session added!
  • Two session options:
  • Saturday mornings 9:00-10:30 am **FULL**
  • Sunday evenings before swimming 5:00-6:30pm (5 spots left)
  • Technique instruction, core workouts, circuits on ergometers, video and cardio workouts!
  • Limited space! 10 participants maximum
  • Cost $125 + HST($16.25) = $141.25

SUNDAY SWIM (only) 

  • ONE coached session per week; open to all RCC members 
  • This is a great option for those that want to stay in contact with the club and summer friends but can not commit to more than one session per week.  
  • Sunday evening 7 – 8:30pm @ Carleton University
  • First Session: November 6th
  • Cost: $75 + HST($9.75) = $84.75
