2020 COVID-19 Spring Programs

Modified Spring Programs have been developed to respect social distancing. They will start on May 4 and run until June 24. We are following the  recommendations from Ottawa Public Health Officials. If it becomes safe to paddle again, we will transition to a modified spring programming on the water.

Objective (U14)
The 2020 COVID-19 Modified Sprint Spring Programs' objective is to promote fitness within the Rideau members to make sure that when it is possible to go on the water athletes are ready to do so.

U12 Spring
6 sessions a week
Includes 3 virtual coaching sessions
About 7 hours of activity/week
U14 Spring
6 sessions a week
Includes 3-4 virtual coaching sessions
About 10.5 hours of activity/week

Objective (U16/U18, HP)
The objective of our U16/U18/HP programs is to maintain or improve the athlete’s level of fitness to be competitive at the National and International level.

8-10 sessions a week
Includes 3-4 virtual coaching sessions
About 20 hours of activity/week
U18/ High Performance Spring
10-12 sessions a week
Includes 3-4 virtual coaching sessions
About 24 hours of activity/week
