RCC presents the SECOND annual BeaverTail Skate-A-Thon!
Sunday February 27 @ 10am (race begins approx 10:20am)

The rules are:
1. eat a beavertail
2. skate from dow's lake to downtown (and back)

The person that does this the fastest is the winner.

Spread the word.. invite your friends. All ages and non-RCC members are welcome. Prizes will be awarded for various divisions.

**Last year it was a big success and we're hoping to make it even better this time around. In order to do this, we are looking for prize donations to award the participants. We are hoping to give out awards for the top skaters along with a few draw prizes. If you have anything that you would like to donate or have any 'hookups' in the area, please let Graeme know (graeme.lind@rideaucanoeclub.ca).  Hopefully we can collect some solid items in time for the big race.

Participants will be responsible for purchasing their own BeaverTail pastry ($4 for the original, $5 for fancy ones). The event will begin and end on the canal under the Bronson St bridge (pending canal conditions). Skaters must completely finish eating their Beavertail pastry before leaving the start area. There will be a checkpoint at the turnaround downtown to ensure all participants complete the course.
