RCC presents the first annual BeaverTail Skate-A-Thon this Sunday February 21 @ 9am. The details are simple:

1. eat a beavertail
2. skate from dow's lake to downtown
3. skate back

The person that does this the fastest is declared the winner.

Spread the word.. invite your friends. All ages and non-RCC members are welcome. Prizes will be awarded for various divisions.  Meet in front of the BeaverTail Hut under the Bronson St bridge by 8:45am.

Participants will be responsible for purchasing their own BeaverTail pastry ($4 for the original, $5 for fancy ones). The event will begin and end on the canal under the Bronson St bridge. Skaters must completely finish eating their Beavertail pastry before leaving the start area. Once swallowed, there are no rules for having to keep the BeaverTail down. There will be a checkpoint at the turnaround point downtown to ensure all participants complete the course.
