Officials Training - May 23

posted May 12, 2015, 5:52 PM by Hector Carranco
The Eastern Ontario Division will be hosting a Level I/II Officials course for all those who are interested in learning more about officiating and helping the division host safe and efficient regattas.  This course includes an introduction to each position, describes roles and responsibilities of each position, and gives an overview of the rules governing the sport.  It will provide participants with the necessary training to help at local and divisional regattas.

Training will be held at the Carleton Place Canoe Club on May 23rd in conjunction with the OCSRA Spring Camp and OCup 1 long distance race.  The course will begin at 10:00 a.m. so please arrive at 9:45 a.m. to register. It is expected that the course will be completed around 2:00 p.m.  All are welcome to attend and will be invited to help out at the OCup long distance race on Sunday – paired with an experienced official.

Please contact Kim Houston at salmosalar_4@hotmail.com if you are interested in attending.
