Get Your Yoga On! Free Class for All Members.

Flexibility is a key element of fitness and the one that most of us need to work on. Starting this Sunday all Rideau members are welcome to take part in a dynamic yoga class at 8 am on Sunday mornings. This class will start with a more dynamic “yang” style of yoga to get the blood flowing, elevate the heart rate, and warm the muscles and then switch focus to more of a “yin”style where we will hold poses for longer periods of time, optimizing the stretch beyond the muscles into the connective tissues.

Please wear comfortable, breathable clothing and bring a yoga mat if you own one, and H20 to drink. We can also use the mats at the club.

The class will be lead by Master's paddler Sophie Tsouros. Sophie is training to be a certified yoga instructor and has been practicing yoga for over a decade. She is also a certified exercise physiologistand we are thrilled that she has volunteered to offer this service.
