That was the message for all the Canadian, Australian, Argentinean and Swedish athletes who had their training camps prior to the World's Championships at the Rideau Canoe Club.
All of them and all the members of the club at the potluck had a great time with good food and good company. The now traditional 4-squares match was upgraded to 6-squares due to the great demand for participation!
The foreign athletes had the opportunity to go in a war canoe for the first time. The 5 Australian athletes, including the Olympic Champion Ken Wallace and their coach Jimmy Owens and the 4 Argentineans along with coach Diana Deek, bantam athlete Nick McBride and midget athletes Katie Findlay and Stuart Wilson went for a war canoe paddle coxed by coach Graeme Lind.
During the potluck and after the paddle every one had the opportunity to take pictures with all of them.
See you at Dartmouth!
