Winter2011 - Masters

MASTERS WEIGHT TRAINING
  • For Masters athletes to continue their development and help prepare for the Spring/Summer 2011 paddling season with a combination of weight training and core exercises; Minimum 8 athletes per session
  • TWO coached sessions per week; three groups to choose from:
    • Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:30 am 
    • Monday and Wednesday 6:30-8:00 pm
  • Cost: $250 + HST ($410 + HST for non-members)

MASTERS ERGOMETER (PADDLE MACHINE) TRAINING
  • ONE 1.5hr session for paddle machine workout Saturday 9:00-10:30 am 
  • Includes both technique instruction, video analysis and cardio workouts 
  • Emphasis on the fine details of technique to maintain in the off season; keep in top paddling shape with indoor paddling 
  • The group will be split into two groups and core work to be performed in coordination with paddle machine work (two groups rotating on paddle machines based on given workout) 
  • Limited enrollment - 12 kayak paddlers and 4 canoe paddlers accepted for the session 
  • Cost $125 + HST 

ADULT FITNESS WEIGHTS
  • For 18+ experienced Masters and senior level athletes who would like to train on their own in an un-coached environment
  • Participants must have the knowledge and skill base to use weight lifting equipment safely. No drop ins, this is a program which all participants must be registered for
  • Tuesday & Thursday 6:30-8:00 pm and Saturday 1:00-2:30 pm
  • Limited enrollment
  • Cost $150 + HST ($300 + HST for non-members)

SUNDAY SWIM
  • ONE coached session per week; open to all RCC members 
  • Sunday evening 7 – 8:30pm @ Carleton University 
  • Cost: $75 + HST
