Requirements for all programsAll programs are member-only, except Novice introduction sessions - Programs or sessions which do not meet minimum registration levels will be cancelled. Affected participants will be offered spaces in similar programs or full refunds
- Registrations are only considered final when payment is made; registration changes can be made for credit - refunds will only be provided for medical reasons
- “Moving -up” from one group to another group is possible but only with the permission of the Masters Coordinator
NoviceEver wondered if you could paddle one of those skinny Olympic boats? Novice Masters is an introduction to Sprint Paddling for adults. P articipants will work simultaneously on developing fitness and technical proficiency. Topics and skills covered will include care for high-performance boats, cockpit/paddle set-up, proper paddling technique, starts, turning, and basic racing strategies. Novice paddlers are encouraged to participate in one of the many available Masters Regattas over the summer (regatta registration fees are extra)..

Intermediate Intermediate Masters is a program for more goal-oriented adult paddlers. If you want to get a personal best time at a regatta, become a proficient marathon paddler, or just enjoy going fast on the water this program is for you. Topics and skills covered will include racing strategy, training philosophy, performance paddling technique, racing starts, interval training, and team boats. Intermediate paddlers are strongly encouraged to compete in more than one of the summer Masters Regattas. Program Details

AdvancedAdvanced Masters is a program for adult paddlers who want to push themselves to their limit on the water. Kayaks and canoes are welcome – as long as they are fast! Workouts will focus on developing peak speed, anaerobic capacity, and refining minute technique details to shave precious seconds off personal bests. High Performance paddlers are strongly encouraged to have their own boats/paddles and to train on their own on other days of the week. Program Details

CanoeWant to try paddling a sprint canoe but didn’t want to hold up your regular group? This program is designed to get you from C-boat bailer to C-boat Captain. Topics and skills covered will include set-up, proper paddling technique, starts, turning, rough water/wash strategies, and team boats. Canoe paddlers are encouraged to participate in one of the many available Masters Regattas over the summer (regatta registration fees are extra). Program Details
