What is it?The Rideau Canoe Club Boat League is an opportunity to gain valuable racing experience in the Ottawa region. Every Sunday night we will have a series of races where 4 boats will race against each other. During the evening we will change the racing groups giving boats a chance to race with different people. When is it?The league takes place on Sunday evenings. Due to popular demand the league is now split up into 2 different groups.
You select the group you would like to join for the season and then you stick with the same group for the season. The first 30 minutes are focussed on warm-ups and technique and the races begin at 6:30pm. We will do a minimum of 2 races/evening. The 2012 season will run a total of 10 weeks. The first date will be July 8th, 2012 and the last date will be September 10th, 2012. We are looking forward to a great summer full of dragon boat. How much does it cost?The cost to join the league is $84.07 + HST[13%] (total = $95). We accept cash or cheque as payment. All cheques should be made out to Rideau Canoe Club. Each week when people arrive we will put together teams for those in attendance. If you are joining the league with friends you can stay in the same boat as your friends for all the races. We make our best efforts to ensure that all teams are close to the same speed. Remember this is about having fun and improving.Where to register?Registration for the league can be done online.
