The following is a list of fees for the 2013 season. In calculating your fees please note that there is a boat charge as well as a coach charge. Coaches have been assigned a coaching level based on experience in our dragon boat program. When booking practices you will be asked to select a coaching level and you may request a specific coach. If the requested coach is not at the level selected it will depend on that coaches' availability. Priority for coaches will always be given to teams which have selected the coaching level of the requested coach. Please email dragon@rideaucanoeclub.ca if you would like to know the level of a coach. Below are some brief descriptions of what each coach level means and how it relates to your team. Please note that teams may also hire steerspeople for their practices. The cost for a steersperson for practices is $25 + HST. Coaching Levels: The following descriptions provide general guidelines that may help you in selecting a coach for your dragon boat season. Regular (Reg) - Recommended for teams looking to have fun and learn some basic instruction about paddling dragon boat. Intermediate (Int) - Recommended for teams interested in having a good workout balanced with fun and technique. Advanced (Adv) - Recommended for teams wanting to push themselves with challenging workouts and advanced technical concepts. High Performance (HP) - Recommended for comprehensive coaching for experienced paddlers looking to specifically improve technique and fitness. The charge for the boat works on a sliding scale price model which adjusts your team's boat charge based on the number of practices booked. As more practices are booked, your boat rate per practice will decrease. Example: If you book 12 practices, your boat rate will be $87 + HST for each of the 12 practices (coach fees are additional) - Please note that coaching fees do not change with the number of practices. |
