Canoe Kids is a Monday to Friday day camp experience focused on all aspects of safe paddle sports. Campers aged 7-12 years old will be introduced to canoeing, kayaking, dragon boating, water safety, swimming, field sports as well as cooperative games and activities. Throughout the week campers will explore the Rideau River with qualified instructors in canoes, kayaks and dragon boats, learning the basics of boating safety and developing their paddling skills! Along with their peers, campers will have a great time challenging their own abilities while developing self-confidence and team-work skills.
Note: CanoeKids is not a introduction to sprint boats or regatta participation. If you are interested in sprint canoe and kayaking please see our sprint programs.CanoeKids Campers will learn the fundamentals of canoeing and kayaking, developing and performing their skills in a fun, safe and structured environment at their own pace.
