Entry fee 
  • The entrance fee for the event is $60.00 per athlete for the full two days of the event and includes a t-shirt. 
  • Athletes racing only in the war canoe are free. 
  • Clubs/Teams are required to pay 50% of their total fees upon registering through online payments or a check made out to the Rideau Canoe Club and mailed to 804 Hogs Back Road,Ottawa ON K2C 0B1.  
  • Clubs/Teams are required to make their final payment of fees no later than the Scratch meeting.
Entries Deadline 
Monday, June 24th, at midnight EST. Late entry fee ($5/race) for entries that don't add another heat.

Regatta Format
  • The Canada Day Regatta will feature ICF Junior, ICF U23 and Para races for Men’s and Women’s 200m, 500m, 1K and 500m war canoe races.
  • The Regatta is geared for Provincial and Junior / U23 National teams. Local and regional clubs can race Midgets and 1st year
  • Juveniles in the ICF Class or race up into the U23 class.
  • All races will feature Heat, Semi and Final, and some races will include B Finals.
Regatta Rules
The regatta will be run under ICF rules, with potentially some minor modifications to accommodate the schedule.

Everyone is invited to the banquet at the end of the second day (Sunday, June 30) --starting at around 4:30pm.
The banquet is included in the athletes' entry fees. For spectators the cost will be $5.00 per person.

$75.00 / day for a 12 x 12 spot in the vendors' area. Please contact for more information.

  • There will be no camping allowed on site. Clubs and athletes looking tocamp should call the Rideau Heights Camp Ground (613-226-4141) whichis about a 5 minute drive from the club.
